I miss your podcasts! I found you via Atheist in a Minivan some time ago, and I listened to all your previous podcasts. You and your wife have such a good rapport "on the air," so to speak.

Makes you wonder how they are going to spin the whole thing about marrying a 14 year old that couldnt have begun puberty yet.

Thanks Marcy. We miss it too. It was taking a ton of our time though. I'm not sure how we'll fit it back into our schedules. Maybe I need to have a chat with Heidi.

And oh, sono_hito, she could have easily begun puberty, but that's not the point. Should a married man take on another wife? Between consenting adults, I personally don't care. Bring minors into the equation and claim that your god told you to, that's were I take issue.

The likelihood of her beginning puberty is actually quite low. The age of puberty has been lowering over the last 200 or so years and during the time in question it was rare for women to begin puberty before 16-17. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Puberty#Historical_shift
So going off of averages and logical thinking, that would make her a prepubescent teenager and smith a pedophile. (besides that he was 35 and she was 14 which even back then would still brand him a pedophile)

Though thats besides the obvious point that someone is marrying other women and other mens wives behind his own wives backs while lying to his followers as well. I also take MAJOR exception that he was claiming that if these women would not marry and bed with him that he/they would be killed by god/angels. Thats the definition of rape via threat of power. When i first realized that it made me ill.

yeah, i second the notion that your podcasts are missed. (especialy the drink of the week!) If i can get a microphone working maybe ill submit a listener drink of the week for you with me and my fiancee.
