Hi, I'm Doug Humphries. I'm a freelance photographer from Salt Lake City. I do portraits, events, product and corporate photography.

Several years ago it occurred to me how much better life would be if I could invert my lunch-to-work ratio and still get paid (genius, I know). Imagine doing the things you love for as long as you can, and only giving the tedious day-to-day unpleasantries exactly as much time as they actually deserve—an Eight Hour Lunch!

My daydream was fairly benign until someone saw a few of my pictures and flew me to Florida and Rome as the photographer for a big business conference. I don't mind saying that it went straight to my head. Since then I've been on a lot of shoots and I'm still amazed at how a ten hour gig can fly by as if it were nothing.
