First of all, happy birthday Heidi!  Also, congratulations are in order because she weighed in five pounds lighter this week. Courtesy and a healthy sense of self preservation prevent me from ever posting her actual weight here. At any rate, great work!

Let me just say that I don't know where the hell this week has gone. Every time I put up a new BFF post, it shocks me that it's time already. That being said, I'd like to see some of the rest of you join in. You'd be twelve weeks in already if you'd started at the beginning!

Now then, on with the stats. You'll notice that I only ran three days this week. Today would have made it four. Unfortunately, I'm afraid I'm coming down with Heidi's cold--a cold which the doctor today diagnosed as a viral bronchitis. I tried running with a cold once. I'll never do it again.

What's new this week? Running outside, that's what! And it seems to make all the difference in the world. I seem to be a lot faster off the treadmill, and I'm certainly less bored.

Last week I skipped Friday because I was lazy. This week, I'm skipping it because I'm in pain. I'm starting to wonder if the intermediate plan isn't a little too much for me.

Wow, two months already! The runs are getting longer, but I'm sure as  hell not getting any skinnier. Not that I expected to this fast. Nope, if this has any chance of working at all, I'm going to have to stay with it for the long haul.

Even training for the marathon, I didn't really lose any weight. I did trim up pretty well though. Even though the race I'm training for is much shorter than a marathon, I'm training a lot harder. Hopefully it pays off.

Two notes for this week. First, you'll notice that I only did weights once. Or maybe you won't notice. Or maybe you will now that I said you won't. At any rate, my shoulder feels like it's right on the edge of an injury, so I''m going to let it heal before I put any more stress on it. I got a little carried away on the butterflies Tuesday.

Second, the new picture a week is proving a little inconvenient for my lazy arse, so I'm downgrading to occasional photos when I feel like it. Besides, I'm sure it's going to be months before there's any visible change. I may as well make it dramatic.
Much better this week.
