Something Learned in Las Vegas

From my first morning workout in Las Vegas, I knew something was different—different from home, I mean. As I started my run south on the strip from The Paris Hotel, I was surprised to see that the sidewalk was paved with…no! Could it be?

Busy Weekend

I said I was going to post nearly every Friday, didn't I? Maybe I should have gotten a grant first.

Last night, Heidi's brother got married. I took a ton of pictures, and spent the larger part of today editing and posting them. I had originally made it clear to everyone that I was cool with doing the invitations, but I didn't want to photograph the wedding. I'm still glad I said that. There's something inherently intimidating in knowing you're the only one getting the pictures of a group that you'll never be able to reassemble for a do-over. Still, as you'll see, I managed to get some great shots.

Having Something to Show for Your Time

Sometimes the weekend arrives like an ambulance late to the scene of a gruesome, week-long accident. Hope soars as you hear the sirens getting louder. Best as you can, you breathe a shuddering sigh of relief as the flashing lights finally come into view.
